Jhulan-Yatra

the Lord's swing festival

16th-19th August 2005

Again this year Their Lordships Sri Sri Radha-Gopinatha enacted Their swing pastimes here in Sydney Temple, where each evening They were carried to Their beautifully decorated flower swing and allowed every one of Their servants to swing Them. Special thanks to Devahuti devi dasi for decorating the swing so nicely again for the Lord's pleasure. Tanks also to Madri devi dasi for photographs. See you again next year....

Balarama-Jayanti

the appearance day of Lord Balarama

Friday 19th August 2005

The divine appearance of Krishna brother and first expansion, Lord Sri Balarama, was celebrated again this year in great style. With the help of Kadamba-Kanana Swami's ecstatic kirtan and discourse we had a simple program of hearing and chanting of the Lord's holy names and transcendental pastimes, followed by the sumptuous feast (including Balarama's favourite beverage, Varuni juice!). Thanks to everyone who came this year and to those who organised and prepared the festival for us all. See you all next year!!
