Bhagavad-Gita As It Is

Translating as the 'Song of God', this scripture is directly spoken by the Supreme Personality of Godhead, Sri Krishna, instructing His warrior disciple Arjuna on the process of understanding the Supeme Absolute Truth by devotional service. Spoken just prior to the battle of Kuruksetra, it's 700 verses delineate the paths of Karma-yoga, Dhyana-yoga, to the topmost stage, Bhakti-yoga – through which one can directly experience his eternal relationship with the Supeme Lord.

Authoritatively translated as it is, without mental speculation or distortion, this book offers the definitive preliminary understanding of spiritual knowledge.

 

Krishna instructs Arjuna in the science of the self just to dispel his grief from having to fight with his relatives

 

 

Sanjaya relays the events of the battle to King Dhritarastra, having received it by revelation from his spiritual master Vyasa

 

Krishna driving Arjuna between the two armies on the battlefield of Kuruksetra

 

After Arjuna's prayers to Krishna, He showed His four-armed form, and then His original two-armed form

Krishna displays His universal form just to show Arjuna that He is the original Supreme Personality of Godhead

Krishna acted as Arjuna's chariot driver in the battle, and because of His Supreme power, the Pandavas were victorious
