Sri Caitanya- caritamrita

Sri Krishna Caitanya is the specific incarnation for the present age of Kali-yuga, and this work documents His life and teachings when He was personally present in India in the late 15th and early 16th centuries.

These teachings are most specific to people cultivating devotion to Krishna in this troubled age, and Lord Caitanya showed by perfect example how to propagate the sankirtana movement in order to increase the awareness of the Supreme Lord in everyone's lives.

With His humility, purity and infallible knowledge of the Vedas, He defeated all the impersonal conceptions currently popular at that time, and firmly established Bhagavat-Dharma - the occupation duty of the living entity as being an eternal loving servant of Lord Sri Krishna, brought about by chanting of His holy names.
