DISCIPLES
Srila Prabhupada
initiated men and women from all parts of the world to assist him
in pushing on the sankirtana movement. Many of his disciples have
in turn become spiritual masters, and this next generation of people
constituting Prabhupada's grand-disciples hold the responsibility
of the movement's future.
Before his
departure, Srila Prabhupada appointed a group of his most senior
disciples to act as the Governing Body Commision (GBC) in charge
of ISKCON's affairs in his absence, ensuring the International Society
for Krishna Con-sciousness to retain it's status as a bona-fine
spiritual movement.
