Srimad- Bhagavatam

The Srimad-Bhagavatam's 18,000 verses describe in detail the principles of devotional service as given in 'Bhagavad-gita', and as such is known as the 'cream of Vedic literature'.

Compiled by Vyasadeva 5,000 years ago, in the Himalaya mountains of Northern India, this text answers the questions of King Pariksit to great sage Sukadeva Goswami about how men can attain salvation in an age characterised by quarrel and hypocrisy.

It's twelve Canto's describe the pastimes of the Supreme Lord and His devotees, and at it's summit are details of the events which took place when Krishna was personally present in India at that period in time.
